PlayStation 5 Clean and Thermal Paste Service (Standard, Slim, Pro)

Is your PlayStation 5 (Standard, Slim, Pro) running hot, loud or shutting itself off? Over time dust builds up inside the console and the thermal paste on the processor dries out. We strip the console down, clean out the dust and refresh the thermal paste and pads, which sorts out:

• Loud fan noise, especially during games
• The console overheating or switching itself off
• Overheating warning messages
• Slowdown or stuttering when the console gets hot

What we do

Choose the service you'd like from the options:

• Standard clean: we strip the console down, clean the dust out of the fan and heatsink, and refresh the thermal paste and pads where needed. The PS5 uses liquid metal on its processor from the factory, and the standard clean leaves this in place.
• With thermal paste/liquid metal replacement: everything in the standard clean, plus we replace the thermal compound on the processor itself, including fresh liquid metal on consoles that use it. We usually only recommend this when your console's temperatures show it's needed, and we'll advise you when you book.

Every repair comes with our 12-month warranty. This covers the part we fit and our workmanship, but not accidental damage or user error.

Turnaround

If we have the part in stock, most repairs are done the same day. If we need to order the part in, it usually arrives the next working day, so your repair is normally done within 1 to 2 working days. Get in touch before you come in and we'll happily check whether we have your part in stock.
