Xbox One S Disc Drive Replacement
Is your Xbox One S refusing to read discs? Disc drive faults are common and usually come down to a worn laser or a failed drive mechanism. We replace the faulty laser or the full drive unit, which sorts out:
- Discs not reading, or an 'unrecognised disc' message
- Discs not being taken in, or being ejected by themselves
- Grinding, clicking or loud spinning noises from the drive
- A disc stuck inside the console
The part
We fit a non-genuine (aftermarket) disc drive or laser. It's a compatible replacement rather than an original Microsoft part, and we fully test your console once it's fitted.
The small logic board on your original drive is paired to your console, so we move it across to the replacement drive. This keeps your console reading discs as it should.
Every repair comes with our 12-month warranty. This covers the part we fit and our workmanship, but not accidental damage or user error.
Turnaround
If we have the part in stock, most repairs are done the same day. If we need to order the part in, it usually arrives the next working day, so your repair is normally done within 1 to 2 working days. Get in touch before you come in and we'll happily check whether we have your part in stock.
